#22 Poem: Grandmaa

One, two, three
Months are passing by
But still i feel your absence
I can’t deny

Your sudden goodbye
Appeared so unfair
You left my hand
And followed heaven’s stair

Couldn’t you stop?
Stop for a while?
So that all our moments
We could compile

I remember the stories
You read to me
I crave for them
Can’t you see?

Oh dear grandmaa
I long for you
Nani…
I still miss you!!

Nani is a hindi word for Maternal Grandmother…

  1. I hope you pain can be soothed by your talent and she would be so proud. this resonated with me, my own grandmother was Indian, I am from the UK. My dad was born In India but lived here for 60 years. luckily I got to meet her and get to know her. it is hard, but because we love so deeply, they never die. Keep writing.
